Briefly describe your responsibilities: I am the manager over the gypsum stack, ore receiving, and water reclaim at the Simplot Don Plant.
What do you consider your highest responsibility, skill or career achievement so far?: My highest responsibility to date in my career has been my current role as the manager over the gypsum stack. Sustainable operation of the gypsum stack is a critical component in the production of phosphate based fertilizer products.
Organizations/Activities/Community Involvement: Pocatello Valley Volunteer Fire Dept (volunteer fire fighter), Society of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers (Participate in local fund raising events and conferences), Agrium CPO Safety Committee (member of team to improve safety within the facility through team assessments, soliciting safety suggestions, and special projects), Simplot Don Plant Safety Committee (similar to that described for Agrium CPO Safety Committee)
Why do you want to participate in, and what do you hope to gain from Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck?:
To broaden my knowledge of the area, network with area industry leaders, and better the community through my involvement in the organization.
