Briefly describe your responsibilities:  I am a supervisor over 3 facility locations serving children and adults with developmental disabilities.  I am responsible for the facilities remaining in compliance with both Federal and State regulations.

What do you consider your highest responsibility, skill or career achievement so far?: My highest responsibility is training my employees to effective care for individuals who have complex needs, many of whom cannot communicate their basic wants and needs.  I have worked through the company ladder completing every position underneath me on the organizational chart.  One of my greatest career achievements has been completing another undergraduate degree while working full-time.

Organizations/Activities/Community Involvement:  Relay for Life - American Cancer Society - I held 3 different volunteer positions with this organization.  1) Silent Auction Chair; 2) Co-Chair of the event; 3) Chair Person of the event.  I was responsible for organizing volunteers to help with the different areas of the event, soliciting teams and donations from the community for cancer research.
Board of Directors - Pocatello Community Charter School - I have been with the PCCS Board of Directors for about 3 years now helping shape the future for the school through policies revisions and other decisions related to staff hiring and budgets.
Kind Community - I am new to this organization but I hope to help bring Kindness to the Community of Pocatello/Chubbuck shaping the way adults and children act and react to one another.

Why do you want to participate in, and what do you hope to gain from Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck?:

I want to further my involvement with my community so that my children can be proud of the work I contributed to society.  As I get older, raising children, I feel I have a greater understanding of the importance of community.  I also feel that a community is only as good as it's leaders and community members' involvement.  I hope to gain additional skills in my leadership abilities, communication skills and get to know other community leaders for future projects.
